Media organisations hold large content libraries and frequently cannot answer, quickly or reliably, what they are permitted to do with a given title — in which territories, on which platforms, during which windows, in which languages, with which advertising models.
That information exists, spread across contracts, spreadsheets, legacy rights systems and institutional memory. The consequence is that content is under-exploited because nobody can confirm the rights in time to act, or exploited in error, which is considerably worse.
